Despina is the Goddess of The Winter in Greek Mythology. She is the daughter of Demeter with Poseidon, and she was not conceived with Love. She is the result of when the Feminine is disrespected, resulting in famine and death. When Demeter was violated by Poseidon, she created Winter (Despina) and as a consequence, the freezing of his world (he representing water). Despina is the fierceness of Nature, that defies any attempts of control. She represents strength, resilience, and perseverance.

Despina has all the shades of winter, and they are neutral, light, and cold. But they are also full of harmony and beauty. I gave her a cozy coat that reminds the landscapes of winter, with all the light of the snow. She is summoning star-shaped ice with the palms of her hands, reminding that her power is dangerous but at the same time, Magical.

This is a high-quality print, made in 310g Fine Art paper, 100% cotton with a smooth surface. Most of the prints are embellished in some details with golden ink, like their originals. They come accompanied by a poem of the Goddess, and each one is unique.

All prints are printed to order, so allow the necessary time for the order fulfillment and shipping (which is about two weeks).

Tips:

  • The ideal frame will include glass over the Artwork. It will serve as a protection, keeping its beautiful state preserved for years to come.

  • Avoid exposing the Artwork to sunlight (even with glass). It can fade the colors.
